30 Firsts for my 30th Year Part 3

I started a personal project last year (2025) about doing 30 firsts as a year-round celebration for my 30th year. In my previous posts, I shared the first 20 new things I did. Read the Part 1 here and Part 2 here.

This post would be the 3rd and last part of this mini series. Here's the last 10 new things I tried last year...

Painted with Acrylic and Crochet

I am more used to painting with watercolor, so using acrylic was kinda hard for me. I still had fun, nonetheless. Added a crocheted flower on it, too!

Staycation with my parents and furbaby

These were literally the only pictures I got to take during our 3D2N in the Airbnb. Guess who enjoyed this staycation the most? hahaha

Did a Tiktok dance trend

I am not a dancer, but there was this dance trend that kept on appearing in my FYP. I ended up memorizing the steps because of the number of times I've seen it. So once day I just decided to try dancing it myself. HAHA

Painted with Gouche Paint

I've been wanting to try gouche. Then one day, my friend gave me a set of gouche paints aaaa. Obviously, there's adjustment period in using it. I still am not very comfortable with it, but hopefully i'll get to practice more.

Went stamp-hunting

Sponty "field trip" with my friend. It was fun walking around to look for the different stamping booths and slowly reveal the final art!

Had a hair spa treatment

I was just meaning to have a haircut, but when I was booking a slot in the slot, I decided to try having a hair spa treatment as well. I loooove love the result. Very good decision, indeed.

Did a fit check video with my parents

This was sooo cute! hahaha I also felt so proud that I actually convinced them to do the fit check with me. I mean, not that they had much of a choice. This was during my cousin's wedding. It is rare for us to dress up nicely, so I thought we needed to document it cutely. haha

Built with brick blocks

This was an after-breakfast activity with my friend during our staycation! I can't believe this was my first time building brick blocksQ hahah. This activity exercises focus and patience.

Joined a sound-healing session

I've been so curious what a sound-healing session is, and I am glad I finally experienced it. This was like our version of "after-party" during one of the events I facilitated. The session was calming and grounding.

Tried an indoor playground with friends

Playdate with my Tumblr-turned-real-life friends! It has been long since we last hangout together. Playing together was not something I expected we'd do, but I am so so happy we did! This was so much fun! I wanna go there again. haha

This set of firsts, I realized, were simpler, quieter, and more chill. It was focused more on going back to my core — with myself, family, and some friends.

I didn't plan out majority of the firsts that I tried, so I am amazed that the things I did each quarter of last year were aligned with each other. They became a reflection of the "era" I was in during those times.

I started 2025 by building relationships with others and having a deeper connection with myself... continued the year by trying out the scary and unusual... then ended it by once again going back to my core.

What a year it was!

Before 2025 started, I claimed it to be my best year so far. And now in 2026, I could say that although 2025 came with its own challenges and heartaches, it indeed became my best year yet.

But ofc, we'll make 2026 even better.
I might just do 31-somethings this year. We'll see. haha

Have a great day! Take caaareee.
