We are thrilled to announce that HivePulse v1.7.0 is now LIVE on the Chrome Web Store! Since v1.6.0 turned HivePulse into a true power-user cockpit, we have been busy — and this release brings the feature we are most excited about yet: a real-time Post Analyzer that lives right inside your favorite Hive editor and helps you write content that actually gets found — by search engines and by AI.

🌍 Why SEO Matters for Hive

Hive is full of incredible writing — but far too much of it never gets discovered. Our posts live on a public, permanent blockchain that search engines can index, yet most of that content stays invisible on Google simply because it was never written with discoverability in mind.

Search visibility is one of the biggest levers we have for bringing new eyes — and new users — to Hive. Encouragingly, that conversation is gaining real momentum across the ecosystem. @pharesim, @good-karma, @louis, @asgarth and many others have been exploring and discussing platform-level SEO improvements, and our Actifit team has been putting hands-on work into SEO on the @actifit frontend.

That platform-level effort matters enormously. But it only covers half the story.

🧩 The Missing Piece: Your Content

Frontends can fix the technical foundations — meta tags, sitemaps, canonical URLs, page structure. What no tool has ever helped with is the half that is entirely in your hands as an author: the content itself. Your title, your keywords, your headings, your tags, your images — the on-page signals that decide whether a post can be found. And some of those choices (your permlink, your first tag) become permanent the moment you publish.

So we built the tool we always wanted: a panel that reads your draft live, right inside the editor, and shows you how discoverable your post really is — while you can still change it.

Let's be honest about what this is and isn't. The Post Analyzer does not magically solve SEO — ranking depends on many factors, including the frontend-level pieces above that no author controls. What it does is tackle something no one in the Hive ecosystem has before: content-level SEO for authors, giving every Hiver a practical toolkit to optimise the part they actually own.

🔍 Meet the Post Analyzer

Open the post editor on PeakD, Ecency, Hive.blog, Actifit, ... — new posts and edit screens — and a HivePulse panel appears automatically. As you type, it analyzes your draft in real time. No setup, no copy-pasting, no leaving the page.

It is organized into two tabs: 📊 SEO and 🤖 AI / GEO. Here is what each one does.

📊 The SEO Tab: Get Found on Google

Hive content is indexed by Google, but most Hive authors never write with search discovery in mind. The SEO tab gives you a live score out of 100, broken into the signals that actually move the needle — each with a one-click ⓘ explainer telling you what it means and how to improve it.

• 🎯 Focus Keyword: We auto-detect a sensible keyword phrase from your title (override it anytime), then check whether it appears where search engines weight it most — your title, the first 100 words, a subheading, the URL permlink, and the preview description. It even watches keyword density so you do not over-optimize.
• Title: Scored by character length (50–60 is Google's sweet spot) plus click-through signals like numbers and power words.
• Meta Description: Your "short preview description" is the snippet Google shows under your link. We score its length and flag when it is empty.
• Structure: Subheadings plus proper heading hierarchy — it even warns you if you accidentally create a duplicate H1.
• Media: Whether you have images, and whether they carry alt text (a real image-search and accessibility signal). It names the exact images missing descriptions.
• Links: Internal links to your past posts (which keep readers on-chain) and external citations (a trust signal).
• Tags: 3–5 relevant content tags, with your community correctly excluded from the count.
• Readability: A Flesch reading-ease score plus transition-word flow.

And the practical extras:

• Live trending tag suggestions pulled straight from the Hive API — relevant ones first, one click to copy.
• A Google search preview so you can see exactly how your title, URL, and snippet will appear in results.
• A pre-publish checklist for the last things to tick off before you hit publish.

One technical note: because the same Hive post can live at several frontend URLs, search engines split their attention across them — one more reason the platform-level work mentioned above matters. Your job is the part you control: a strong, well-structured, well-targeted post. This tab makes that easy.

🤖 The AI / GEO Tab: Get Cited by AI

Recent work has been done preparing Hive content for the AI adoption (hivesense by @blocktrades team, work by peakd in support of multiple structures for post content and extensions by @asgarth, to list a few ...). We believe this is also key for growth, so we decided to also include this, again, from a user enhancement perspective.

GEO — Generative Engine Optimization (also called Answer Engine Optimization / AEO) — is the practice of structuring your content so AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google's AI Overviews can quote and cite it when answering people's questions. It is fast becoming as important as classic SEO.

And here is the exciting part: Hive is unusually well-positioned for it. Hive content is public, permanent, and accessible through an open API — exactly the clean, structured corpus that AI retrieval systems love to ingest. The structural quirks that make Hive harder for Google make it easier for AI.

The GEO tab gives you a second score out of 100 — and it is smart about what kind of post you are writing. It detects your content type, so it will never nag a personal diary or a poem to "add statistics."

• Personal & creative posts are scored only on the universal essentials: a clear opening hook, self-contained sentences (so quotes make sense out of context), and clearly named subjects (AI indexes names, not "it" and "they").
• Informational posts (how-tos, guides, reviews) get extra checks: answerable question-style structure, plain-language definitions, and concrete data with sources.

It is the first tool we know of that helps Hive authors write for the AI-driven web that is already here.

🪪 The Hive Proof Card: Show Off Your Hive Journey

The Post Analyzer is about getting your content seen — the Hive Proof Card is about getting Hive seen. With one click, it generates a polished, shareable image of your on-chain standing: your avatar, your effective Hive Power, the live HBD savings APR, your liquid balances, and your total portfolio value in USD — all laid out in a clean, professional card that actually looks good on a timeline.

Then share it anywhere. Copy it straight to your clipboard, download it as a PNG, or fire it off to X with a pre-written caption that highlights your HP and the APR you are earning on HBD. It is a frictionless way to celebrate a milestone, prove your Hive credentials, and — most importantly — spark curiosity in people who have never heard of Hive. And because the card is purely a read-only snapshot, your keys are never touched.

⚡ The Energy Cost Estimator: Know Your RC Budget

Resource Credits are one of the most confusing things about Hive, especially for newcomers. "Why can't I comment? Why did my vote fail?" The answer is always RC — but a raw percentage does not tell you what you can actually do with it. The Energy Cost Estimator fixes that by translating your RC into plain English: roughly how many votes, comments, posts, and transfers you can still make right now before you run dry.

What makes it trustworthy is that the numbers are real. Instead of hardcoded guesses, the costs are calculated from live network parameters pulled directly from the chain (and cached hourly to stay light). A colour-coded bar — green, amber, red — gives you your energy level at a glance, so you always know whether you have room to keep engaging or need to let your credits recharge.

🔥 Trending on Hive: Discover What's Hot

We also brought content discovery right into the extension. The Trending tab has two modes. Posts shows you the top content across Hive, sortable by Trending, Hot, or New, each entry showing its payout, vote count, comments, and author. Communities surfaces the most active communities on the chain, complete with subscriber counts, active-author numbers, and pending rewards — a great way to find where the conversation is happening and where your next post might land best.

Tap anything and it opens in your preferred frontend, respecting your Nexus settings — so a PeakD user lands on PeakD and an Ecency user lands on Ecency. The whole feed auto-refreshes hourly, keeping it fresh without hammering the nodes. Whether you are looking for something to read, somewhere to post, or simply want to keep your finger on the pulse of the chain, it is all one tab away.

💼 A Smarter Wallet: Effective HP & Delegations

Your wallet now tells the complete Hive Power story. Beyond your own staked HP, it surfaces the HP you have delegated out to others and the delegations you have received — both clearly labelled and explained with built-in tooltips. No more wondering why your voting power feels different from your balance.

Tying it together is the new Effective HP summary: your own HP, plus what has been delegated to you, minus what you have delegated away. That is the voting weight you actually wield when you cast a vote — the number that truly matters for curation — shown front and centre so there is never any guesswork.
