Keep your relationship sacred...

In modern society, it is customary to scold your partner with friends, even for fun. This is one of the ways people connect with each other, discussing how terrible their relationship is. If your relationship is so terrible that you need to talk badly about it with friends and family, you probably should not be involved.

My husband and I never scold each other for our friends and family - not even that: "Oh, he did it today, and it really bothered me." We believe that our relationship should be sacred, and one way to do this is to let everyone else know that no one is comparing us to each other. Our friends and families are wonderful and we love them, but the truth is that our marriage is number one for both of us.

To be happy in your relationship, you must treat them as something unique, rare and precious. You should treat this as something you really appreciate.
