A few days ago, I talked about Omani parents, many of whom force their children to take injections for their illness. It put excessive fear into the kids. Well, there are exceptions! Let's learn about an interesting short case!

A girl under 10 years old visited another GP around 3 days earlier. She was given medicines in syrup form. Despite being sick, she didn't take any medicines (according to the father). The parents failed to persuade her to take the medicines. So, the father decided to visit a doctor again. I examined her and there was an indication for medicines, including an antibiotic. What could we do, as she didn't take oral medicine? We started discussing giving injections in front of her. She became scared! Her father put more fear in her about injections in her language and asked her if she would take the syrup instead of the injection. The scared girl agreed to take oral medicines! The father's mission was successful! They left.

On Saturday, I had a duty in another clinic as a relieving doctor. While before I used to consult fewer than 30 patients, this time I consulted 51 patients! All the clinics are having a lot of patients, thanks to the seasonal flu!

I walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes after lunch on Saturday. However, I failed to make 10,000 steps. According to the Fitbit app, I made 7,840 steps!
