Charactober Entry: The Pale Watcher Vapor
Check out my latest creation for the Charactober challenge, I tackled the Windowshade prompt, and this one really brought the spooky vibes. This I call Vapor.
I focused on the Ghostly Frame look. You can see how the character is literally pressed against the glass pane, like it is always behind the glass, That hollow face is giving me the cringe and unease, that is exactly what the prompt asked for. More like the reaper.
I made the form out of Dripping Condensation as you can see on my initial draft. It makes him feel cold and temporary, like he could just melt away like a vapor. I chose a background that looks like the woods this gives a perfect perspective like he is watching you from the edge of the woods.
Lore: They say Vapor is the residual grief left on the glass after a loved one leaves and never returns. He doesn't move or speak, he just waits for the reflection of a face that is no longer coming home. He is forever clinging to the last visible threshold.
Seriously digging this eerie, minimalist look. It's got that pale watcher vibe. What do you guys think he is waiting for?
