# Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 16 Report Card

Once again, we draw near to the end of a Splinterlands season and once again I'm scrambling to get my Splinter Stats End of Season Report Card entered so that I have an archive of my progression through the Splinterlands seasons. Since I'm immortalizing this season on the Hive blockchain, I think I'll mention that The Chiefs won the Super Bowl last night!

Rating wise, this was one of the better performances I've had for a season in a long time. I managed to climb into Diamond 1 and even got close enough to see Champion League just over the hill. But I wasn't able to climb any higher before I ran out of time and the season ended. I logged a good amount of matches this season (447) and just barely managed to keep my win/loss ration above 1.

I ended up receiving fewer reward cards this season than last, but I got a Rare Gold Foil and 2 Legendary cards so the burn value of this season's reward cards exceeded last season by more than 3X. In fact, all my rewards this season were significantly higher than last season. Packs and potions rewards almost doubled, Merits were up about 90% and SPS increased 11%. Those are very large increases considering I only won 9% more matches this season.

Rental revenue was up 40% this season while rental expenses decreased by 35% due to renting for Brawls decreasing. I keep adjusting what I can put on the rental market and updating prices when the market takes big swings. My efforts are paying off as shown by the 40% uptick in revenue.

SPS income dropped significantly this season over last. Looks like total SPS rewards were down about 14%. While Brawls rewards dropping I can explain because I participated in fewer brawls this season, the rest of the decrease I have to assume was due to a shorter season so fewer days to collect rewards since every type of reward was down except Ranked Rewards.

All in all, this was very good season. My battles went well and the rewards improved because of them (to be honest, I think there was more than just a little bit better luck involved this season).
