Welcome To The Frontier Battle Format!

Greetings to all of our splinterfriends! I hope you are doing great wherever you are in the world right now.

A brand-new battle format has just been released few days ago and it offers a fresh start for everyone to collect new archons and unit cards. I bet everyone is now exited to start their quest in welcoming and collecting our new cards in the game, but before that, let's get to know some things first.

𝑊ℎ𝑦 𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑡 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑞𝑢𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑠?

All the cards until now in this format can be obtained just by completing tutorials and quests through winning battles. There are no airdrops and card packs being sold, and if this remains the same, it means everyone has equal opportunity in collecting and accessing all the available cards during battle.

It will boil down to your effort in collecting all the available cards to toughen up your deck and your actual strategy during battles.

Previous card editions offer some disadvantages to those who can't purchase or rent meta cards that were only available from card pack sales, promos, auctions, etc. In this format, everyone has almost equal chance even without spending too much.

𝐻𝑜𝑤 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑛𝑒𝑤 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑟 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑠?

Players can obtain their starting cards by going to "Play" > "Campaign" > "Book 1"
Just complete the tutorial and trial battles to be able to receive reward cards.

Once everything is done, you can go to "Play" > "Ranked" and choose "Frontier" and start completing daily quests by winning battles and collecting additional cards.

Combine those card rewards to level up to defeat tougher opponents.

𝑊ℎ𝑦 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑡𝑟𝑦 𝑖𝑡?

Any Splinterlands players with extra time should try it because you don't have to spend or buy anything to start. No staked sps or passes required.

You can also freely transfer or sell your earned cards! ^^

Additional utilities or more uses could be waiting in the future, so just keep collecting.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧:

5 summoners from fire, water, earth, life, death

2 legendaries from campaign

𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨:

• 2 legendary cards will be given as rewards during the campaign tutorials
• all cards are maxed at silver as of this writing, rare summoners maxed at level 4
• no dragon cards available yet, or I am just not lucky to get one yet. lol
• no rental feature yet, you can transfer and sell cards though
• Frontier energy (50/50) is independent of other formats, you can still play even if your wild or modern format is at zero
• win 5 battles daily and you can claim a reward consisting of several chests, up to 3 rewards for 15 victories
• similar to other formats, you can win rewards for leveling up (e.g. bronze 3 to bronze 2, etc)
  

𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬:

• when you reached the campaign part for mock duels, you will be given a hint for the type of summoner or deck you are up against, read it carefully so you could win easily

• a stronger deck with upgraded cards is the easiest way to win and collect more rewards, make sure to level up your summoners to even just level 3. If you have multiple accounts, you can use your rewards to help your account level up faster. Takes a lot of work but will be worth it.

Remember that we are still in book 1 of the campaign right now, so it is safe to assume that more cards will be available in the coming books. What exciting days ahead. I can't wait what the Splinterlands devs have in store for us.
