It is in improvisation that the street reveals itself. In the detail that goes unnoticed by most, but which, for those who are attentive, becomes history. A shadow crossing the ground, a lost gaze in the middle of the crowd, the texture of a wall tired of existing, the distorted reflection of a shop window telling two realities at the same time. Everything converses, everything adds up, everything becomes language.

é no improviso que a rua se revela. no detalhe que passa batido pra maioria, mas que pra quem tá atento vira história. uma sombra atravessando o chão, um olhar perdido no meio da multidão, a textura de um muro cansado de existir, o reflexo torto de uma vitrine contando duas realidades ao mesmo tempo. tudo conversa, tudo soma, tudo vira linguagem.

Each click is trial, error, success, and discovery. Because the street doesn't forgive distraction, but it also rewards those who persevere. There are days when nothing fits, when the light isn't right, when the moment slips away in milliseconds. But there are days when everything flows, when it seems like the city conspires with you. And it's in this contrast that learning grows, in the frustration that teaches and in the success that confirms.

cada clique é tentativa, erro, acerto e descoberta. porque a rua não perdoa distração, mas também recompensa quem insiste. tem dia que nada encaixa, que a luz não ajuda, que o momento escapa por milésimos. mas tem dia que tudo flui, que parece que a cidade conspira junto contigo. e é nesse contraste que o aprendizado cresce, na frustração que ensina e no acerto que confirma.

Time here is different. It's not clock time, it's the time of the event. Learning to wait, to anticipate, to sense when something is going to happen even before it happens. It's almost instinct. And when you make a mistake, you learn. When you get it right, you learn too. There's no loss, only process.

The sun beating down on your head, the heat weighing on your body, fatigue arriving unannounced. A water bottle always nearby, sharing space with the camera as an essential tool. And yet, your eyes don't close. Because the street doesn't pause. It continues, pulsates, changes rhythm all the time. And you go along, adapting, molding yourself, getting lost and finding yourself in the midst of it all.

o sol batendo na cabeça, o calor pesando no corpo, o cansaço chegando sem avisar. a garrafinha d’água sempre por perto, dividindo espaço com a câmera como ferramenta essencial. e mesmo assim, o olho não desliga. porque a rua não pausa. ela continua, pulsa, muda de ritmo o tempo todo. e você vai junto, se adaptando, se moldando, se perdendo e se encontrando no meio disso tudo.

Photographing the street is also about dealing with the unexpected human experience. People who are surprised, people who stare, people who ask questions, people who ignore you.
