Day 3: A Quiet Trip to the Market

Today, I stepped out with my son to get some groceries for the house. It was supposed to be a simple errand just to pick up food items, grab a few snacks, and head back home.

But from the moment we got on the road, something felt different.

The road was so scanty with people.

The road was unusually quiet. Most of the shops where under lock, this place is usually buzzing with activities now so calm. It caught my attention immediately because this is a road I know very well always busy, always noisy, always full of movement.

When we finally got to the market, I expected the usual crowd. The long queues at the payment stand. Surprisingly, it wasn’t like that at all. Even the bread stand where I usually have to wait patiently on a long line was fully stocked, with very few buyers around.

It felt strange… but also peaceful.

This whole calmness was because of the holiday season. Most people have travelled to their villages to relax, reconnect with family and friends and to take a break from the city busy life.

Indeed, everything has it's own time and season. A time to be quiet. Today felt like one of those quiet moments and I was grateful to witness it with my son beside me.
