Pixel Posting | Reset, Reboot, Reconnect, 2/7

Welcome back, dear readers! Let’s continue where we left off!

This brings me to a personal epiphany: For years, I’d convinced myself I hated social interaction. In school, I played the class clown—loud, exaggerated, desperate for laughs—but it was a mask. I’d come home exhausted, wondering why I couldn’t just be myself. My closest friends (shoutout to the childhood squad) knew the real me, but to everyone else, I was that guy who turned everything into a joke. Even I didn’t take myself seriously.

So imagine my shock when I discovered that authenticity—not performance—earned genuine connections. Posting art online forced me to drop the act. Instead of begging for attention, I focused on sharing what I loved, and the right people noticed. The lesson? You don’t need to be a circus act to be valued. This might sound obvious, but for someone who spent years overcompensating, it was revolutionary.

Check out this crazy GIF and picture I made not so long ago, Personally it's one of my favourites and I hope it's also gonna be your favorite from now on :)

I owe you a massive thank you. For not forgeting about me and also for shaping me in some kind of way. For the first time, I feel proud of what I’m building, not just anxious about how it’s perceived. That’s why I’m doubling down on this creative path, and I’d love your input on a few ideas simmering in my brain, and here's a disclaimer, I know it might sound a bit like I'm looking for money but right now it's all about expansion and learning:

1. Pixel Art Expansion:
Instagram and TikTok are just the start. I want to push my pixel art further—not just static sprites, but intricate animations with smooth motion, Easter eggs hidden in details, and maybe even mini-narratives. Remember that Iceland trip where I first tried pixel art? The jagged landscapes there inspired me to play with perspective, and I’m itching to revisit those concepts.

2. Commissions (The Side Hustle Gambit):
Let’s address the awkward bit: money. I’ve resisted monetizing my art for years, fearing it’d feel transactional, but reality check—bills exist. So, I’m considering offering commissions: custom wallpapers, animated birthday messages, or even pixel portraits of your pets. Nothing excessive, just a way to fund better tools (and maybe coffee). Would you be interested? Hit reply with a comment if yes!

3. Game Dev Dreams (The Distant Glow):
This one’s a pipe dream, but I can’t stop thinking about it. Games shaped my childhood—the lore of RPGs, the camaraderie of MMOs—and I’d love to create even a tiny, heartfelt experience someday. I’ve started dabbling in Blender for 3D assets and Unity tutorials, though progress is glacial. But hey, every expert was once a beginner staring at a blank screen, right? Also I think there is plenty of time ahead of me so, you will be seeing some nice progress over time.
