Pixel Posting | Future Goals! #11
Hey everyone,
Another week, another blog post. Today I want to touch on a few important topics: my goals for the near future, an idea I have for a personal game project, the possibility of creating a community focused on pixel art and game dev, and also my plans to return to social media after some recent setbacks.
I’ll be honest – I’ve been pretty absent from online spaces lately. My thoughts weren’t clear, and life kept throwing curveballs. I was struggling with medication adjustments, some health issues, and financial stress. But I feel like I’m finally getting my footing again, and now’s the time to say: enough. It’s time to do things properly, get back on track, and start moving forward again.
You can’t sit still and just wait for change to happen. If you don’t take action, nothing improves.
My Three Main Goals for the Near Future
So here are the three main things I want to focus on: developing a new game, possibly building a small creative community, and rebooting my social media presence.
A New Game Project (Besides Pumpkin Cat)
Apart from Pumpkin Cat, which I mentioned in the last post, I have another – much bigger – game idea. It’s going to be a narrative-driven RPG, with 2D visuals and a rich story. I don’t want to give away too much just yet, since there are still a lot of aspects I’m figuring out, but I can say that the concept is already well-developed, both in my head and on paper.
I’ve outlined several mechanics, general story arcs, and ideas for the world. The only thing stopping me is that I still need to learn a lot more – both in terms of programming and game design. So this will definitely be a long-term project, but I thought it would be nice to share a bit of it with you now.
A Pixel Art & Game Dev Community (This Is Not a Promotion)
Another idea I’ve had for a while is starting a community space – possibly here on Hive – focused specifically on pixel art and game development. It could be a place for people to share tips, resources, maybe even set up a Discord server where we help each other improve and collaborate.
And just to be clear: this is not a promotion, and Alien Art Hive or any other creative group doesn’t need to feel threatened by the idea. I have huge respect for the communities that already exist here. What I’m talking about would be a niche addition, aimed specifically at indie devs and pixel art lovers, and only if there’s interest for it.
At the moment, I don’t have the following or engagement to launch something like that. But if more people join in and the support grows, I’d be more than happy to take that step in the future.
Returning to Social Media: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok
Another major goal for me is to get back to being active on social media – particularly Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. I’ve had a bit of a hiatus recently due to everything I mentioned earlier, but now I’m slowly regaining focus and energy.
By the time this post goes live, I might already be getting back into it. But I still need a little more time to settle in. The medication I’ve started recently is helping, and I’m beginning to feel like I can finish things properly again, instead of jumping between projects with no structure.

I’d Love to Hear From You
I’ve noticed that not many people leave comments on my posts, and I totally understand – I haven’t been consistent. But I’d genuinely appreciate even a small comment or bit of feedback.
Let me know:
- What you think about the new game idea,
- Whether you'd be interested in joining a creative community like the one I described,
- Or just share something cool you’re working on.
Even a simple "Hey, this was a good read" goes a long way.
A Quick Thought on Goals and Motivation
If you’re struggling with planning or achieving things, here’s a reminder that it really helps to break big goals into smaller ones. It’s hard to get anywhere when you don’t even know where you’re going. Saying “I want to do this or that” without knowing why makes it much harder to actually finish anything.
So take a moment to define your purpose. Give your goals meaning. When you know what you're aiming for, the steps become clearer – and far more achievable.
Remember: the end goal justifies the means – but only if you know what that goal truly is.
