Hello #holos-lotus friends, it's been a while since my last post. My activity has ceased both in the community and on the platform. At first it was because I was studying, trying to finish my thesis so I could graduate, but then... the price hikes hit, the connection limits thanks to Etecsa, the few streetlights to charge my phone, because we're already spending our lives in darkness, and on top of so much need, a cyclone.

I'll soon be celebrating my first year at #Ecency, and I'll always be grateful to those who showed us (Hive account@yecier and Hive account@claudiocruz) that a site like Hive existed. #holos-lotus has become a haven where we can share not only our experiences but also our art. It's a sacrifice to manage to write a daily post with quality content, stay active, read, and eat. But we can say that we earn our living this way. In my case, it's the determination to keep saving until I reach 3000 to buy a tricycle and ease the household chores.

Nothing compares to the mothers who have to stand in front of the stove not knowing what to cook, or those who live in a building with three small windows and cook there with firewood. Living in Cuba forces us to rethink our existence, and if we're still here, it's because we have someone to help, someone who depends on us.

I don't like the tone of this post; I usually use irony and avoid personal attacks. But these days there isn't much light, just a slow and gradual process of patching up what's been broken. Last year, I would arrive back in my town, at my house, eager for any good news, even just one piece, to give me hope. I would turn on the television to hear something different, even if it was just Cuba helping someone. Now, rewriting this post, I understand that I have to build that good news myself.

I'm sacrificing myself despite my lack of desire. I have my hopes pinned on Ecency and a project I'm still developing. I'll tell you more soon. In the meantime, look forward to my next post, which will be brighter and less gloomy.

#Holos-lotus se ha convertido en un refugio donde podemos compartir no solo nuestras experiencias sino también nuestro arte. Y es un sacrificio lograr escribir un post diario con contenido de calidad, estar activo, poder leer y comer. Pero podemos afirmar que nos ganamos por aquí el pan. En mi caso, el empeño de continuar ahorrando HBD hasta llegar a 3000 para comprar un triciclo, y poder aligerar los problemas de la casa.

Nada comparado a las madres que tienen que pararse frente a la cocina sin saber qué cocinar, o los que viven en un edificio con tres ventanas pequeñas y allí mismo cocinan con leña. Vivir en Cuba nos obliga a replantearnos nuestra existencia, y si aún estamos, es porque tenemos a alguien que ayudar, alguien que depende de nosotros.

No me gusta el tono de este post, usualmente uso la ironía y evito lo personal. Pero en estos tiempos no hay mucha luz, más que un lento y progresivo periodo de "remendar" los árboles caídos. El año pasado llegaba a mi pueblo, a mi casa ansioso de una buena noticia, aunque sea una, para poder tener fe. Encendía el televisor para escuchar algo diferente, aunque sea Cuba ayudando a alguien. Ahora, reescribiendo este post entiendo que debo de construir esa buena noticia.
Sacrificarme a pesar de mi falta de deseos. Tengo mi esperanza puesta en Ecency y en un proyecto que todavía estoy estructurando. Pronto les comentaré. Mientras tanto esperen mi nueva publicación con más luz y menos grises.
