Destiny 2 Hunter knife update

Here is a quick update on the Destiny 2 Hunter Knife project.

This last week I was able to finish up the clay step for my two part mold. This involved putting everything to a smooth finish on the clay, putting everything at a 90 degree angle where there clay meets the prop. After that I put up the mold walls using some foam core and hot glue. Then I made the clay meet the foam core wall at a 90 degree angle. Finally I put in some registration marks into the clay that will help the two parts of the mold match up better when everything is done.

I have ordered up some mold max 30 silicone rubber to make the mold. Then I am meeting up with a friend to get a vacuum tank to suck the air out of the liquid silicone this will have the mold be the best possible finish. Once I do that I will let the first 1/2 of it cure for a day. Then I will carefully pull all of the clay off, spray some mold release, and then pout the second 1/2 of the mold. Hopefully will get those steps done sometimes next week. :)
