😍 Did you read WTF?? It's HTF! More below... 😏 But first!
Just wanted to public shame myself on how super gutted I feel, because I can't make this year to @hivefest, but reality is what it is (and in this case a "my family" first thing)... not that you all are not my family too, but in this case I don't think you could help anyway.
And we even had "repercussions" about how we are making things this year, all community decided/signaled, etc. Which just made me go a little less sad about it, even if what I really wanted was to attend too.
So, to all the people going! Please enjoy, please make the most of it... Meeting people on this chain is probably the best part of all this journey. And I suspect it might always be... we are, after all, the only truly decentralised community-based blockchain.
For the ones that know me from previous Hive Fests, please tease me as much as you would like during the event, as I really want to live as much as possible the experience some of you will report on posts during the usual busy schedule. If we haven't yet met, but you meet people that I already met, and/or you even talk about me, please tag me! :D I will be trying to be as interactive as possible during the few days you guys enjoy while there.

Yes, I DO have News! Some of you might already have seen this project of mine, and I am going to just say it... Did I plan for this one? NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! Totally out of the blue!
Many of you might not really know, but I do check "behind the scenes" a lot of times... and in this one, it all started with one day when I was fricking trying to find out where some transactions were coming from... and was being faced with how challenging that was becoming.
Then, the 🧠 just 💡 lit up! 🤯 Why not really connect the fact that there are already free tools out there, and make sure I can create a sort of an experience example for people that aren't really aware or simply confused about how simple these things are "for one to start with"... and provoke some AI learning?
Something simple, basic, without the need for much effort so I can use it as an example, and at the same time, something that will have both purpose and meaning to me, so I can have a bigger excuse to build something that I really need (and hopefully someone else on Hive too).
This is a simple "transactions" explorer tool for people to be able to either live-monitor all HIVE and HBD transactions on the Hive blockchain, or check the flow of them across several hours - for now, the scope is just that, and I might just leave it as simple as such. But not yet final! And highly susceptible to your feedback, so do let me know!
Before presenting these pictures, I do some intentional "re-arrangement" of the bubbles in order to make them easier to read... but I will have to find a better way to arrange them in the future. Fun fact, every time you share these and don't arrange them, I confess I almost have a stroke LOLOL - but don't worry, it gives me motivation for fixing it - don't worry @friendlymoose I wasn't offended - and thanks for sharing it!
I have previously made a little post about it here, but I haven't publicised it too much yet. Why? Because until a couple of days ago, I was still validating the experience and going through a couple of hoops until I reached this first "iteration" (still want to improve a couple of things).
And on top of this motivation, I wanted it to stay (even if I didn't have to) completely free or if not possible, as close as possible to that. And so far, I can say, it has been the case. All that is included on this app is my time, some of your feedback (thank you to those people), and my stubbornness in making a point that everyone can really do ANYTHING they want.
Currently (might change in the future), it's FREE to develop in, it's VERY EASY to develop (as I have already proven in this post with others' contributions), and in this case it's even FREE to host it! Yes, if the app needs to scale, you might need to pay something, but if that is already the case, then I would say you are already into something really nice worth paying for!
I have it (for now) as a private repo, but I want to (and WILL) eventually open it up for the community as open source code. It's quite a simple code as of now, so not much point in having too many contributions, while I don't get tired of this. Plus, I want to keep the motto of "free developed", so I need to wait for the monthly free tokens.

YES!!! And this one is more on the side of my Hive "pride" evolution kind of thing. Because I am doing baby steps and learning as I go with my backup witness involvement.
What is it? Have you noticed anything new at the end of this post, "usual" footer signature and additional information? Specifically on my Public Infrastructure part... 🤣🤦♂️🫡
That's right, a new Hive seed node is now available from New Zealand too... separate HiveD node just for this, and for now only on IPv6 address space. I think I might be the only one from New Zealand, but that's OK. And apologies if the latency is quite horrible... There is nothing I can do about that, yet (Elon Musk might help solve this)! Also, not sure if there are any friends from across the pond (Australia), as I haven't checked all the IPs yet, but it might be good news for them if they needed a close one to connect to.
This was long planned, but I haven't had the pressure to do it... but because of the July shenanigans as pointed out by @gtg, I have decided to make it happen. So, one more seed node for the Hive ecosystem! This was the little bit that was missing from me, as a backup witness.
Next will be the "I don't know for how long" second machine I need to build with some SAS SSDs for the "main" second API node, so that I can do proper HA stuff. I haven't had much patience to order what's missing and start some testing of the ish old but enough and very "IO capable" hardware for this. But again, it will come in due time.
🧐 ATX updates and retrospective 😏
Last friendly reminder that the current active distribution on the ATX:SWAP.HIVE pool will have an injection of 5M tokens as planned. By the time I do this post next month, the new added liquidity will already be inside the distribution. What does that mean? It means that the daily distributed ATX tokens via the pool will greatly increase... so if you notice a lot more ATX in your wallet, that might be why.
Aside from these posts, I haven't really done much in regard to the token, I know... and with the exception of continuing my usual efforts on Hive, this wasn't a big surprise to me. I am not winding down, but this was always more of a tool for me than anything else. So, I will not feel bad if you want to move away from the pool. Up to each of you, as you have seen, I am keeping my stake in it and will continue to be on it, because that's how I designed the economics for the maintenance of the tool.
Having said that, if you are staying, I can only thank you for the support because that's exactly what it represents. And I allowed for some opportunity for people to support me in that way, without sounding like they would be going to make rivers of money.
This was never financial advice. This is just a tool where people can support me if they want.
What will happen in the future, I don't really know... but this was why I decided to just issue 10% of the token in 5 years, because back then I didn't even have any clue of the disruption AI would have on the economy (probably almost no one had), and because of how much that landscape is changing every day, I can't really say what the future will bring, although I have great remarks for this and I feel like something will really show up eventually.
I am building small things, one thing at a time, when it makes sense, and when I can do them.
The journey works and teaches one A lot... Can't even possibly comprehend how, from someone who just wanted a general Backup Hive-Engine node to make calls against, has now reached what I have today... 🤯 I would never have thought about being here some years ago. But I can say, it would never be possible for me to be here if not for all the crazy mega brains we have around, making all the improvements and features make this chain fricking awesome.

If you enjoy the games you play on Hive, make some good noise outside of Hive, because that will be the free marketing we all want and over time will create enough consistency for some people to notice.
