The Venezuelan government hates Venezuelans
In a way, it is indescribable, unacceptable, and unbelievable that situations like this are occurring in the midst of a crisis.
The police are disrupting the humanitarian aid being provided to the Venezuelan people.
As we can see, at the very moment when the situation is most critical—and when we need the support of the government and all Venezuelan citizens the most—I cannot upload a full video to YouTube because I truly do not want to risk being intercepted by these same political and government agents, who are harassing and accusing people of terrorism for sharing information about what is happening inside the country.
However, I can edit the videos I’ve recorded into clips and share them with you, since it’s slightly less likely that members of these police agencies will be able to track me down directly through Web 3.0 technology. Nevertheless, I want to share this moment of frustration, hatred, anger, and extreme annoyance at knowing that these kinds of situations are occurring. How is it possible that the Venezuelan government is currently turning against the Venezuelan people themselves, knowing that right now is when we need to be most united? But unfortunately, Venezuela comes last, and that’s how they usually behave.
On Facebook;
"Attention! The individual in the photo is Maj. Gen. Juan Ernesto Sulbarán Quintero (GNB), appointed by Delcy Rodríguez as the sole authority for the post-earthquake emergency. We are receiving specific reports that they are searching cell phones, wallets, bags, and vehicles, and have already detained several people on charges of alleged “terrorism” for recording videos of the disaster. The regime wants to exploit the tragedy to once again instill political fear in our people, on top of the psychological damage already caused by the earthquakes. This “general” acts like a neighborhood thug and a criminal!"
I know that one of the community rules is to share your own photos, but I really need to share this kind of information with you and let the world know what’s happening here in Venezuela. That’s why I’ve included this link along with the information and the direct link so you can go see these posts directly on the Facebook app, or you can simply search for them using your favorite browser and verify the facts for yourself.
And here on Bolívar Avenue, they’re diverting passing vehicles, but most of these vehicles are carrying humanitarian aid that each of us has managed to collect—even I, who am in a situation where I also need to sort out a few things—but it’s impossible to sleep peacefully knowing that there are people who have literally lost everything they’ve built in their lives. Only we Venezuelans don’t know how hard it is to buy a glass cup to drink coffee, how hard it is to it is to buy a plate to eat lunch on—and how much harder it is to have a dining set with chairs and tables. Now imagine working your whole life to gradually build your home, only to have it all disappear from one moment to the next. It really is an overwhelming feeling of helplessness and frustration, but we’ve come to the realization that sometimes these are just material losses—yet the death toll keeps rising and rising more and more, and there are still people trapped beneath the rubble. More than 24 hours have passed since the tragedy struck, and at this very moment, as I’m writing this post, there are still people trapped in the rubble.
Many of us have set up collection centers where we’ve gathered supplies like food and medicine, as well as clothing and other items. I myself was even able to contribute to this cause by bringing a bale of bread flour to a center. I don’t have any photos of this because, honestly, I’m also very upset by the people who are abusing social media by making a big deal out of this issue. Those who are going to help do so from the heart, without needing others to see .
However, I feel a deep need for the world to know what is happening here in Venezuela—this great injustice we are facing.
Thanks for all the support.
