Rain & Health
A very good morning to all my friends who are part of this amazing community here—in my opinion and from my personal point of view, this is one of the freest communities on the blockchain.
And I say this because there’s nothing healthier than letting out your frustrations and annoyances—so much so that using paper and pencils in the face of adversity is even recommended as a form of therapy. Yeah, maybe it sounds funny to you, but believe me, this makes a lot of sense, since sometimes we’re advised to take a crayon or pencil, a sheet of paper, write down the things that enrage us on that paper, then crumple it up, tear it apart, and sometimes even burn it—this is considered a way to overcome adversity and destroy your problems, at least in a figurative sense.
Rain Morning
It’s 5:36 a.m. on July 2, 2026, and I woke up feeling physically and mentally exhausted—tired of so many things happening at once, tired of all the sadness and pain affecting Venezuela, tired of so much poverty. On top of all this, the current situation has left me bored and totally disappointed.
I’ve been waiting for two weeks to start working at a store. I also have a job offer—though it’s not my first choice—for a renovation project on a house with a pool, but I haven’t received any further information about it either.
I was supposed to leave early this morning—that’s why I woke up so early—but only to find that it’s raining heavily. It’s been raining since yesterday. Yesterday I was supposed to start repairing the roof on my house, but because of the heavy rain, I had to wait and was planning to do it today—something that’s already worrying me this early in the morning. This roof is in really critical condition; it’s too fragile, and now with this rain, I feel like it’s getting weaker and weaker.
This is the current condition of the broken beam and the ceiling in my house. I’ve already removed the wood I had installed, and we also took down a sheet of metal that was on top of the ceiling. Because of the rain, I’ve had to put this work on hold for obvious reasons. And even though I still don’t have all the materials I need to properly complete this repair, I’ve started getting to work with what little I’ve gathered. Still, I’m very, very grateful to all of you for your support. —big or small—all the support you’ve given me is what keeps me so patient, calm, and with a little hope. Because if it weren’t for those words of encouragement from each and every one of you, the story would be very different. I thank you so much.
It seems incredibly exaggerated and overwhelming how tragedies, annoyances, problems, and inconveniences keep cropping up here one after another, over and over again, until they completely wear us down.
- Why am I saying this?
Some of you have seen the things that have happened to me personally—so as not to generalize about the situation in Venezuela—and those of you who’ve known me for a while are aware of what I’m going through at home. On top of all this, we’ve had to deal with the pain of a broken tooth, and apparently my wisdom teeth—as they’re commonly known—are starting to come in.
That’s something I’m going to save for tomorrow’s post. Yesterday, I managed to go to the doctor and buy some medication for this, and I have a post that will explain it much better with some details.
For now, that’s all I’m sharing. Thank you very much to all of you.
