Coast2Coast - Graffiti for the ccc's streetart art contest

Today we’re heading back to Venezuela with a bit of street art—but real street art. Here we are sharing the latest graffiti created in the area, and when I say “the area,” I mean from Caracas to La Guaira, from the coast to the hills.

Welcome!

First, I’m going to put together this photo collage showing all the graffiti I managed to photograph. Please note that, as you can see, I edited these images and added the name of the community and “ccc’s Street Art Contest.”

Let's Go!

Let’s consider my personal fondness for this style of graffiti, where it’s quite striking how enduring and consistent some artists are—staying active for so many years, doing the same work, and consistently demonstrating their skill, yet without abandoning the roots of vandalism or the tradition of tagging their names on flat surfaces as often as possible.

From La Guaira to the mountains over in Caracas, it’s wonderful to see the energy and dedication of these graffiti artists—they’re currently the most prominent in the scene. I want to share with you some of the freshest, latest work, and I’ll wrap up with a piece by a friend named Tyler, who’s part of a crew called USD. This crew has also maintained its legacy of consistency and originality through some truly remarkable pieces. But let’s keep in mind that this artist is a teenager—a young man who’s just starting out in the world of street art, yet he shows a lot of promise.
