[ENG-ESP] KINGFISHER BIRD DRAWING

Hi Hive friends, I hope you had a good weekend. I spent it with my daughter celebrating Father's Day, it was very special and today I made a drawing that I want to share with the community. It is a Kingfisher, a bird that eats fish and has beautiful colors. I hope you like my drawing.

Hola amigos de Hive, espero que hayan tenido un buen fin de semana. Yo la pasé con mi hija celebrando el día del padre, fue muy especial y hoy hice un dibujo que quiero compartir con la comunidad. Se trata de un Kingfisher, un ave que se alimenta de peces y que tiene unos colores hermosos. Espero les guste mi dibujo.

I have been working with black card now and it is wonderful. With white pencil we draw a quick sketch that will help us to guide us.

He estado trabajando ahora con cartulina negra y es maravilloso. Con lapiz blanco trazamos un boceto rápido que nos servirá para guiarnos.

We start by painting the part of the head using white as a base, then we add several shades of blue to give contrast in the shadows.

Comenzamos pintando la parte de la cabeza usando como base el color blanco, luego agregamos varios tonos de azul para dar contraste en las sombras.

Then we go down the Kingfisher's back to draw the plumage, following the same previous recommendation.

Despues descendemos por la espalda del Kingfisher para dibujar el plumaje, siguiendo la misma recomendación anterior.

As this part receives a lot of influence from the light, the colors usually vary in the feathers between light blue and turquoise, so we used those two colors and mixed them with white. It is important to highlight the brightness of the light with pastel white.

Como esta parte recibe mucha influencia de la luz, los coloes suelen variar en las plumas entre azul claro y turquesa, así que usamos esos dos colores y los mezclamos con blanco. Es importante resaltar el brillo de la luz con color blanco pastel.

Finally we draw the detail of the branch, we use white as the base and light brown and dark brown. We can add some ocher to give an intermediate tone. Then with a dark brown we delineate the shadows and the relief of the branches.

Por último dibujamos el detalle de la rama, usamos color blanco de base y color café claro y café oscuro. Podemos agregar algo de ocre para dar un tono intermedio. Luego con un marron oscuro delineamos las sombras y el relieve de las ramas.

This is the final work, a long time ago I made another bird of this species but it was standing on top of a flower, instead this one is on a branch. I really like drawing birds, for this drawing I used prismacolor premier colors on black cardboard. Its measurements are 29 centimeters by 21 centimeters. Así ha quedado el trabajo final, hace mucho tiempo hice otro pájaro de esta especie pero estaba parado encima de una flor, en cambio este esta sobre una rama. Me gusta mucho dibujar aves, para este dibujo utilicé colores prismacolor premier en cartulina negra. Sus medidas son 29 csentimetros por 21 centimetros.
