El rey David expresó estas palabras “Jehová es mi pastor” sabiendo muy bien todo lo referente a este oficio, ya que durante su juventud pastoreo las ovejas de su padre.

David sabía que las ovejas son animales temerosos, indefensos, animales que necesitan ser guiados y protegidos por un pastor para así evitar que caer en las garras de los depredadores o del peligro de descarriarse en el campo.

De igual manera, nosotros como cristianos somos como esas ovejas temerosas, torpes, e indefensas que necesitamos ser cuidados y guiados por ese gran pastor
que es nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Debido a que enfrentamos peligros similares en nuestro día a día, ya sea el enemigo que está como león rugiente buscando a quien devorar, los deseos de la carne y las tentaciones de este mundo.

Por tales cosas, necesitamos ser dirigidos por el Señor y su palabra, porque así como el pastor proporciona a sus ovejas cuidados y alimento, de igual manera ninguna de estas cosas nos faltara a los que somos cuidados y guiados por Cristo.
