Look, I’m going to be totally honest with you—the UK has become a complete write-off. It’s a sinking ship. Between the soaring taxes, the soul-crushing cost of living, and a government that’s moved past 'incompetent' straight into 'tyrannical,' everyone back home is just... depressed. I couldn't breathe there anymore, so I got out while I still could.

I left with next to no savings and absolutely no 'Plan B.' I just knew I had to go. I started this journey in Mexico, pushed through Guatemala, El Salvador, Argentina, and Chile, and now I’ve landed here in Bali.

The Balinese? Honestly, they are the kindest, most welcoming people I’ve ever come across. My interactions here have been incredible, but if I’m being vulnerable with you guys—which is what this channel is all about—I do wonder about the depth. As an expat, are we always going to be just 'passing through'? Can we ever truly bridge that gap, or is it always going to stay on the surface?
