Onion

The bus was packed with women heatedly arguing about politics, until things got heated. The driver had to intervene to prevent a bigger fight, and one of them got off the bus while the others mocked her.

"What they're feeding us is like an onion, the most foul-smelling one they can throw at us to get our attention. We have to peel back these fallacies one by one, only to find there's nothing there. It's just another TV show where we're the stars."

Meanwhile, I listened intently, not understanding a single thing they were saying. The only thing that caught my eye were the stickers they'd left on the bus. It was like an onion peeling off its layers until only a skull remained.

I still don't understand.

Cebollas

El urbano venía lleno de señoras discutiendo acaloradamente cosas de política, hasta que las cosas se pusieron pesadas, el chofer tuvo que intervenir para evitar que hubiera un pleito más grande, una de ellas tuvo que descender de la unidad mientras las demás se burlaban de ella.

-Que nos dan es como una cebolla, lo más apestosa que puedan lanzarla para llamar nuestra atención. Hay que quitar una a una estas falacias para el final encontrarnos con que no hay nada. Es solo un programa más de televisión en el que somos las protagonistas.

Mientras tanto yo oía atentamente sin entender absolutamente nada de lo que decían, solo me llamó la atención las estampas que dejaron pegadas en el camión. Era como una cebolla que iba perdiendo sus capas y al final quedaba una calavera..

Sigo sin entender.
