Damsons, Robins, and Painted Rocks!

It was a very hot day for a walk at the nature reserve. The sun was shining, so I walked slowly under the trees to stay in the shade.

Along the way, I saw a few things. Dark blue damsons hung on the branches, and blackberries were starting to grow, though they weren't quite ripe yet. They would be there for the taking once they've ripened.

​On the pond, there were little water bugs sliding across the surface of the water. There were loads of them.

​A fluffy robin sat resting quietly on the grass. It soon shot off when I got too close.

I found this lovely painted rock. This is a community 'hide and seek' hobby just to make people smile. People paint stones with art or a nice message on them, varnish them, and hide them outside. When you find one, you post it on Facebook in the local painted rocks group and either keep it or rehide it somewhere else for the next person to spot!

​I walked slowly under the trees still staying in the shade. It was a short but hot walk, but it was good to be out. I can't wait for cooler days, though.
