A lilac bush.
A lilac bush.
I was walking through the park and saw a lilac. I thought, "That's strange, lilacs aren't blooming anymore," but then I realized it was a late-blooming variety. Lilacs are almost always out of bloom. But in some parks, you can still find late-blooming varieties.
Lilacs come in different shades. I mean shades. I have a row of white lilacs near my yard, and among them are several lilac bushes. Lilacs come in white, as well as different shades of lilac: dark lilac, light lilac.
I like all shades of lilac, but I especially like the rich lilac.
If you don't trim or prune the lilac's shoots, it will grow into a large bush, but if you trim the shoots, it will take on a tree-like appearance. I prefer the latter. At home, I remove the shoots, and it grows tall, like a small tree. This way, it takes up less space, and other flowers can be planted in the same spot.
Lilacs smell wonderful. I love their aroma.
