Muestras infantiles de Pintura de mi tierra (Vivencias y Vida Personal)/Children's Painting Samples from My Homeland (Experiences and Personal Life)
These images were taken with a Redmi 15C cell phone camera on the evening of Friday, April 17, 2026 (with acceptable lighting and the phone's flash), in the Argenis León Exhibition Hall of the "Amanda Muñoz de Urriola" Fine Arts Center in Guanare, Venezuela; on the occasion of the closing of the second term of the painting and sculpture course for the 2026 school year. Here are my thoughts. Without further ado, let's begin!
I want to start by saying that these works, like the cover photo, are not mine. These are works by different young painters of varying ages, between 8 and 15 years old, who are studying painting at this art center. At this point, in my forties, I am still incapable of painting anything decent like the little tiger on the cover. The quality of our children is incredible; they are the next generation in a land as culturally rich as Guanare, known as the Cultural Athens of Venezuela.

Estas imágenes las tomé desde la cámara de un celular Redmi 15C, la noche del viernes 17 de abril de 2026 (Con iluminación aceptable y el flash del celular), en la Sala de Exposiciones Argenis León del Centro de Bellas Artes "Amanda Muñoz de Urriola" de Guanare - Venezuela; en ocasión del cierre de segundo lapso de la cátedra de pintura y escultura del año escolar 2026. Aquí mis apreciaciones. ¡¡¡Sin más, comencemos!!!
Quiero comenzar diciendo que estas obras, como la foto de portada, no me pertenecen. Estas son obras de diferentes niños pintores de variadas edades de entre 8 y 15 años quienes cursan estudios de pintura en esta casa de arte. A esta altura y a mis cuarenta y tantos, soy aún incapaz de pintar algo decente como la tigrita de portada. Es increíble la calidad de nuestros niños, generación de relevo en una tierra tan cultural como Guanare, llamada la Atenas Cultural de Venezuela
Quiero comenzar diciendo que estas obras, como la foto de portada, no me pertenecen. Estas son obras de diferentes niños pintores de variadas edades de entre 8 y 15 años quienes cursan estudios de pintura en esta casa de arte. Passing through the facade, we came across this collection of paintings, and at first glance, one might think they were the work of adults. What a surprise to discover they are children's creations, brimming with talent. They represent the next generation, the future growing harmoniously. It is there that we conclude that art still holds great promise...
Al pasar la fachada nos encontramos todo este cúmulo de pinturas y a simple vista se cree que son propias de adultos. Vaya sorpresa saber que son producciones infantiles que están llenas de mucho talento. Es el relevo, es el futuro que crece con buena armonía. Es ahí donde concluímos que el arte aún tiene promete bueno...
These works are full of chromatic magic and vibrant polychromy, dynamism, rhythm, and energy. The styles of this future are very interesting: alluding to nature, native animals, and the beach. It's as if we were on the coast of one of the many we have in Venezuela; therefore, dreams were projected onto Caribbean art. After all, who doesn't like to visit the beach? Even if it's in paintings or canvases by excellent artists... There are also other more exotic motifs such as circus arts or abstract works in mixed painting techniques, including cold paints, watercolors, and textures...
Estas obras están llenas de magia cromática y mucha policromía, dinamismo, ritmo y energía. Los estilos de este futuro son muy interesantes: Alusivos a la naturaleza, los animales autóctonos y mucha playa.
Es como si estuviéramos en la costa de una de las tantas que tenemos en Venezuela; por tanto, los sueños se proyectaron en el arte del caribe ¿Por que a quién no le gusta visitar la playa? así sea pintadas o en cuadros de excelentes artistas... Demás están otros motivos más exóticos como las artes circenses o abstraccionismos en técnicas de pintado mixtas entre pinturas al frío, acuarelas y texturas...
Es como si estuviéramos en la costa de una de las tantas que tenemos en Venezuela; por tanto, los sueños se proyectaron en el arte del caribe ¿Por que a quién no le gusta visitar la playa? así sea pintadas o en cuadros de excelentes artistas... In this gallery, the motifs filled with people and animals, or both mixed together, are part of the imagination of these great young artists... Traditionally, the beauty of humans and animals has been a prime subject for many paintings. From the "Mona Lisa" to countless others, they have drawn us to art books, museums, and exhibitions around the world because of the impression they make on those who contemplate them...
En esta galería los motivos llenos de personas y fauna, o ambos mezclados son parte de la imaginación de estos pequeños grandes artistas... Por tradición la belleza del hombre o de los animales han sido modelos de muchas pinturas por excelencia. Desde la "Monalisa" hasta muchas más, nos han acercado a los libros de arte, a los museos y a exposiciones del mundo por la impresión que causan en quienes la contemplan...
Here's proof of my presence at the exhibition, which I thoroughly enjoyed in the few minutes I had. There's so much to say about the art spaces in my city. Today it was the "Amanda Muñoz de Urriola" Fine Arts Center in Guanare, Venezuela, a place steeped in history and one I've known forever because my entire cultural life has been influenced by it in theater, education, music, and the many other activities we've seen here. So many memories that they can't all fit in one post...
Long live this space, and may we continue to see paintings and sculptures brimming with life to celebrate humanity, because those who create culture do so because they want to and appreciate the best the world has to offer, without eccentricities. Until next time. God bless you...

Acá la evidencia de mi presencia en la exposición, la cual me disfruté en los pocos minutos que pude apreciarla. Hay mucho que contar de los espacios de arte en mi ciudad, hoy fue el Centro de Bellas Artes "Amanda Muñoz de Urriola"de Guanare en Venezuela, un sitio lleno de tanta historia y que conozco de siempre porque toda mi vida cultural ha estado llena de su influencia en el teatro, la educación, la música y las tantas actividades que hemos visto acá. Son tantos recuerdos que no caben en una publicación...
Larga vida para este espacio y seguir viendo pinturas y esculturas llenas de mucha vida para celebrar la humanidad, porque quien hace cultura es porque quiere y aprecia lo mejor del mundo, sin excentricidades. Hasta la próxima. Dios les bendiga...
