Hunting for Reflections at a Beach Cleanup Event | SMARP Round 281

I still remember that Sunday morning. We left home very early that morning. That day, I took my wife to the beach in the Nusa Dua area of Bali.

That day, my wife was participating in a beach cleanup and mangrove planting event organized by her office. I joined in as well; besides helping with the cleanup, I also took photos of the beach scenery and the activities throughout the event.

The first thing I noticed when I arrived at the beach was a fishing boat moored there. It was the only boat there. Maybe that area isn’t really a public spot for mooring boats. I don’t know…

Near the boat, there was a bamboo fence used to separate the mangrove area from the beach without mangroves. The beach without mangroves is located behind the row of hotels in that area. So, the beach view behind those hotels is one of their main attractions.

Walking into the mangrove area, I found a bamboo bridge. The bridge led to a bamboo tower situated somewhat out into the sea. I’m not sure if the tower serves as an observation tower or is just a photo spot.

On both sides of the bridge, there are mangrove seedlings that have been planted in groups within plots (similar to raised beds). The purpose is to prevent these seedlings from being washed away by the waves.

I really enjoyed that day—not only did I accompany my wife to her work event, but I also got to participate in the activity and enjoy the beautiful beach atmosphere.
