Short cuts are for losers
It is a really great and honorable strength to see and know where a person is at, and avoid manipulating them to our advantage, ('thinking' that they cannot see right through us).

Normally manipulation comes from a laziness inside of us to do what it takes to honestly and properly evolve ourselves out of an unwanted situation (which we created, and don't want to admit, because it takes work, and releasing pride).

The one who chooses to do the deeper work (and allow themselves to 'look bad/weak' for a while), taking no short cuts, their results are much more sustainable, it just takes more patience. Because at the end we are only manipulating ourselves if we don't.
