Indeed a Happy Birthday

On September 24th, last Saturday, I turned 24 years old. I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by kind people who never fail to make me feel unique on a daily basis. These individuals are my coworkers that have evolved into some of my closest friends. One of my favorite clubs in Cebu City, League Sports Bar, was where we celebrated my birthday. I never imagined that I would have such an enjoyable evening. Even though it was a joyful and exciting evening, I couldn't help but feel emotional because even though I live distant from my family, I still have individuals I can refer to as my family. They know that I am living by myself here in the city and that's the reason why they make sure to be present at my birthday party. Even though some of these people had a hectic day, they still managed to arrive. Even though it was pouring rain at night, these people nevertheless managed to be there. And that's why I found this bunch of folks to be so admirable. They offer me time on my special day because they genuinely value me. A friendship is a priceless gift. And the most priceless present I ever received is these folks.

And thanks to everyone else who wished me a happy birthday in a sincere manner. They still have my gratitude for recalling my particular day. Above all, I am grateful to God for giving me another year to live, grow, and fulfill my dreams.
