Splinterlands Diary 28.03.24 - Swell Spore Beast

Hello, brave warriors of Splinterlands! Our exciting journey continues and these days, trying different strategies with cards from the Rebellion edition found some very effective combos.

I often play as an Earth elemental and use the mighty Quora Towershead, but the new cards sometimes work just fine, and I can't help but share the experience I had with Swell Spore Beast Archer.

On the one hand, it seems like a pretty weak card, and with a summoning cost of 8 mana it has very modest speed, but its ability to hit without missing is really impressive.

In one of today's battles, I had a rather unpleasant combination of Reverse Speed and Fog Of War rules that forced me to give up a strong Katrelba Gobson card, but by putting Swell Spore Beast in the back, I found myself in a win-win situation. While the opponent was trying to destroy my first cards, this archer was diligently doing his job and dealing significant damage to the opponent whose level was higher than mine! It was great :)
