Hello, fellow Steemians. This is the first Steemit Screenplay Contest, where a scene and its characters are given to you and you tell the story. Entries must be a minimum of 180 words and no more than 500 words. Only one entry per account is permitted. Add tags screenwriting & screenplaycontest.

PROMPT #1: INT. ABORTION CLINIC-
DAY
JODI, a pregnant teen, waits anxiously for her name to be called. SARAH, Jodi's mother, flips through the pages of a magazine while shaking her leg impatiently. Mother and daughter sit together in silence.
A door opens. A NURSE steps through into the exam room.
NURSE: Jodi? The doctor will be in shortly.
SARAH: Okay. Thank you.
The Nurse closes the door.
