Crochet Baby Blanket 🩷

I got to make a baby blanket and this is a formal apology to all the crochet blanket designers out there you all are the strongest people I know right now 😭

I have this food vendor I've been patronising for a while now, she posted that she gave birth and honestly this was a good avenue to try creating a blanket for a baby, I sent her a message and was able to get a reference for the measurements since I've never made this before so I didn't know what the nadir measurement would be.

The next issue was getting the perfect Stitch for this blanket that would still give initial look I wanted it to have but now let me say how the process actually happened not fluffing up just pure experience 🤣🤣

Day 1: I went from “aww this Stitch is so cute”, “it's so pretty”, “this would be so fine when it's finished” to “oh my days it's been hours and I've not crocheted up to 1 inch” trust me that switch happened in a twinkle of an eye.

I realised that this just went from cute to one project I'm about to start crying about🤣🤣🤣 the next day I woke up strong and got started, got sleepy in between —my eyes and bright colors don't do well — and then the cycle kept repeating till I got up one morning and said to myself “yeah this project can't go beyond todY else you'd get bored of seeing it” and trust me it has happened too many times I can't take any chances.

I buckled up that day, wore my big girl pants and got started with rows and rows and rows of variations and in the end I got to the desired length I couldn't hold it in. I was so excited about it.

For two reasons actually it was so pretty that I finally finished making it and I couldn't wait to inform her that I was done and she could come and pick it up.

I went straight into prepping it to be picked up, attached the tags, the labels and packed up her package. This whole process got me so excited. I'm happy she lived it and came to pick up her baby's blanket.

Now would I be making this again? Honestly not soon I'll cry from boredom but if it's a colorful reference then yes absolutely I'd love to get on it again.

For now I'd just take a break from making bug plain projects.
