Drama Club Is Back

I am excited that the LUMC Drama Club is less than a week away. On Tuesday, May 4th, the LUMC Drama Club returns to the Lacey United Methodist Church in Forked River from 5:00pm until 6:30pm. Masks are required and temperatures will be taken. There will also be another adult present to keep the practice of Safe Sanctuary in place. It seems like forever since we have been together in person. We did have a brief period where we met via Zoom, but it just wasn't the same.

I am currently working on some warmup games and gathering scripts with social and Christian themes. The children must be from a reading age up to the ripe old age of 18. You do not have to be a member of the church to participate in this free event, but you do have to sign up by emailing me at donnieg777@hotmail.com with your contact info. Please title the email "Drama Club." We will be meeting every Tuesday, with the exception of a few weeks which will be announced beforehand.

Everyone who signs up will have an opportunity to perform. No experience is required! However, if you have some experience, these sessions will only enhance your skills. We will be going over acting methods, improv, warmups, script-in-hand readings, as well as many other avenues and techniques required to bring out the best in everyone. These skills also help one handle their every day life. The curtain goes up next Tuesday!
