Pokemon Card Stores Guide For Toronto, Canada Area

Hi there. I do a Pokemon card stores guide in the Toronto area. This is my August 2026 version.

Different stores carry different products, cards and have different prices. The contents described here could change a week or a month from now.

Downtown Toronto Area Pokemon Card Stores I Visit

There are a good handful of card stores and gift card stores that carry Pokemon cards (and other TCG products) in the Toronto area. I focus on the ones in the downtown area.

Each store has their own product offerings, TCG product offerings, prices and policies. Some places are better for collectors, some are better for players.

401 Games

---

401 Games is a well known game store in the Toronto area. They have a second location in Vaughan, north Toronto near Canada's Wonderland amusement park.

This store carries all kind of games, toys, board games, TCG sealed products, card sleeves and card accessories. They do carry some single cards and sports cards.

To purchase single cards for TCGs, you do an online order. Once you receive an e-mail stating your order is ready to pick-up, you go in the store and head to the pickup order section of the store. An ID check is required for pick-up orders by you or someone else you trust for pick-up.

Their play area for TCG tournaments are in a basement with not much window lighting. This is one thing to note.

Banana Games

In the past, I used to buy some and sell cards with Banana Games. I don't shop from here anymore as their prices on Pokemon cards are higher than competitors. Why high prices? I don't know. I go here for Pokemon prerelease events. This is maybe the one Toronto store that holds at least 3 Pokemon prereleases for each main set. Most stores hold one prerelease event, a few do 2.

They did move to a bigger location in 2026. After going up the stairs, you see large playing areas before you get into the retail store. This store does carry a lot of gift items, Pokemon cards, sealed TCG products. As this store is bigger, they do host a lot of TCG tournaments from Pokemon, Riftbound, Digimon, One Piece, Gundam, Magic The Gathering, Cookie Run, etc. There are pro players that play at the local Pokemon TCG tournaments. Intimidating but good practice.

Interesting Things

Interesting Things is a gift shop store in the Kensington Market area of Toronto. It is near Toronto's Chinatown and near the University of Toronto campus. (Google source image below)

They carry mostly toys, gift shop items, some playable Pokemon cards, collectible Pokemon cards, graded Pokemon cards and some One Piece cards.

The store recently opened Pokemon tournaments. They recently held their Pitch Black prerelease event where their format is non-competitive. I have not played there. Maybe the play area is in a basement that is not available for retail shoppers. The space is not very big.

Every once in a while I find certain Pokemon cards here that I cannot find at other stores.

Dolly's Sports Cards

Dolly's Sports Cards in downtown Toronto/Toronto's Chinatown is a place that I visit sometimes. It is hit or miss if I find something here for Pokemon cards. The store is located on the second floor of the Chinatown Centre mall.

They do mostly sports cards. However, they have a Pokemon bulk section with some playable cards at good prices not found on their website.

One good thing with this store is that they don't charge tax.

Go For Game TCG

Go For Game TCG is located in Toronto's Chinatown area on Dundas Street. It is on the second floor beside a hair salon. They carry Pokemon cards, Yugioh cards, Magic The Gathering, Riftbound and card accessories. The store is not very big but they do get a good amount of players for Yugioh, Riftbound and Pokemon.

This place is one of those stores that don't sell a lot of stuff online. It is better to go in person to see their card offerings. When it comes to Pokemon, they have a good selection of playable cards, collectables and sealed products. They don't add tax if you pay in cash.

A & C Games

A & C Games is my go-to store when I visit Toronto. They host Pokemon TCG events every Sunday which aligns with my schedule. I sometimes buy cards from here but I mostly play here for their free events and pay for their prerelease events.

I like their service and player base friendliness. Their play area can be bad if it gets busy and you have to get behind people to get your seat by the wall. They also sell video games and used video game consoles and games.

Sometimes the card store employees would recommend other card stores if they don't have certain cards. Employees from this store and the Go For Game TCG store know each other. Friendly competition I suppose.

Hobbiesville

---

Hobbiesville Toronto is located more on Queen Street West and Ossington Ave. For me, it takes more time for me to get to there for pick-up. I sometimes here when they have good prices and stock on latest Pokemon card sets.

Their second floor is the retail store area. To pick-up your card orders, you head to the third floor (highest floor). Let the employee know you are do a pick-up order and state your order number. No ID check needed at this store.

Shopping Online

When I don't feel like going to Toronto to pick up cards and do stuff there, I do online orders from different stores. You do pay for shipping but you save time.

Prisma TCG

I am not sure how I found out about this Alberta based store. It might have been through research or from TCGPlayer. The website does not look modern but it is organized.

I like their Pokemon card prices. Their shipping costs get larger if you do order more cards.

Kanzen Games

Kanzen Games is based in Mississauga, near Toronto Pearson Airport, west of Toronto. This store covers LEGO, Pokemon cards, One Piece TCG, Riftbound, Magic: The Gathering, Gundam, Yu-Gi-Oh, Lorcana and also carry toys and board games.

I like ordering online from this store as their prices are competitive, their playable Pokemon cards usually have stock and they carry Japanese Pokemon cards. They do ship out their orders fast. One issue ordering from them is that the delivery time from Canada post takes time. The slow speed is not from the store, it is from Canada Post delivery service.

3Mana

I have bought a few Pokemon cards from this Quebec store called 3Mana. They do cover alot of TCGs from Pokemon to Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Digimon, Union Arena, etc.

Their Pokemon card prices are competitively priced provided they have stock. Shipping from Quebec to Ontario is around 4 CAD. This is not too bad.

Zephyr Epic

Zephyr Epic is located in West Canada. Surrey, British Columbia to be exact. They sell mostly sealed products from their website.

They sell tabletop games, sports cards, Pokemon TCG sealed products, Magic The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Flesh and Blood TCG. Their single cards do not include cards but are mostly from Magic: The Gathering.

Useful Websites

There are useful websites for ordering Pokemon cards and other TCG cards. Facebook Marketplace is not included as I don't use Facebook and have not used it.

Ebay

Ebay can be good in finding certain cards that card stores don't carry. In the Pokemon cards space, there are higher prices due to scalpers. There are a few collectible or playable cards that have good prices.

Do be mindful of seller location and shipping fees (if any). Shipping times can vary too. I have found that free shipping does take a while from Canada Post. Maybe a week or two.

Snapcaster For Canadians

In the USA, TCG Player is useful for comparing prices of cards between card stores online. Europe's version is Cardmarket I think. For Canadians, we have a website called Snapcaster.

On my screenshot, I have Pokemon as my default when searching for cards. Those who play other TCGs can change it to Magic The Gathering (MTG), Lorcana, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, Star Wars and so on.

In the search bar, search for a card you want to know the price of. Then the website shows results of the searched card with different vendors and prices.

This site also helps with discovering new stores to shop from. Some new stores you may not have seen before may be near you.

Although this guide is mostly for Pokemon, the stores mentioned here do carry other trading card game products. Snapcaster is also good for shopping for cards across different TCGs in Canada.

The above are some of the stores I know of. There are many card stores out there.
