Mega Delphox ex + Grisham Japan Gym Promo Cards

Hi there. This is a short Pokemon TCG post. Grisham and Mega Delphox ex gym promo cards are featured.

Starting May 1, 2026, Japan's gym tournaments have access to seven promo cards from promo booster packs. Each pack contains 2 cards.

Shaymin, Poke Pad + Dawn Promo Cards

There are new versions of Shaymin, Poke Pad and Dawn. These new versions have a Gym stamp on the right side.

Seel, Spritzee Promo Cards

There are new versions of Seel and Spritzee from the Perfect Order set. The new Seel card is kind of cute.

Grisham

Grisham is a Supporter card that heals 50 damage from all Pokemon in play (yours and opponent's). It is a very niche Supporter card that was designed to counter decks with the Froslass and Munkidori combination.

Deck space is tight in some decks. If there is room, one copy of Grisham is okay to counter damage spread decks. Most decks would rather use draw Supporters like Lillie's Determination and maybe Morty's Conviction and Iris's Fighting Spirit.

Mega Delphox ex is the evolved form of Braixen. This Stage 2 Fire Pokemon has 350 HP, two retreat cost and Water weakness.

The first attack, Trick Portal, requires one Fire Energy. Look at the top 9 cards of your deck and put as many Pokemon you find there onto your Bench. Then shuffle the other cards into your deck. This is a gamble style of attack where you may or may not find Pokemon from the top 9 cards from your deck. If you get lucky, you can Bench evolved Pokemon form this attack and skip the evolution process. This Trick Portal attack is similar to Grimsley's Move for Dark Pokemon.

Eerie Glow requires one Fire Energy and two Colourless Energy to deal 200 damage. The opponent's Active Pokemon is now Burned and Confused. Burn deals 20 damage at the end of each player's turn. It can be healed if the coin flip in between turns is a Heads.

A confused Pokemon has to flip Heads before the attack in order for the attack to resume normally. If Tails, then the Confused Pokemon fails the attack and does 30 damage to itself. Eerie Glow does at least 220 damage plus Confusion.

Mega Delphox ex as an attacker does seem average. The first attack can really help with Bench Setup if you get lucky. I don't see Mega Delphox ex see major competitive play in the future.

Thank you for reading.
