Sept-Amber day 8: A Warm Flickering Flame
Hello my creative friends, I made a drawing of a candle for the 8th prompt of the Sept-Amber drawing challenge. We are working today on the warm flickering flame prompt. I immediately thought about a simple wax candle that is dripping and is surrounded by darkness.
How I made my drawing:
You can already see the shape of the candle that is how simple and basic I want it nothing intricate just straightforward tapered shape of a usual candle.
At first the candle can be on top of a table like the previous drawings I made which are almost all on top a wooden table but for this candle I decided to put the candle holder on the wall and added a shade of darker brown so the candle would pop later
Now time to add the magic that flicker which is required in the prompt. To achieve it I added a layer on top of the candle and chose glow as the effect for this layer and slowly painted on the light or flickering effect on the black wick. I then added the texts about the prompts to keep it consistent with the last drawing I made.
Thank you for reading hope you like my interpretation of the prompt.
