Making the spiced hot drink: Bovro

Finally done with the concept art of a new word added in the lexicon. I think snow dwellers need something to warm them up hence this spiced drink I call Bovro inspired by one of the kin names Borival and kind of sounds like beverage.

The word encompasses both everyday and ceremonial beverages, whether served hot or cold. Each kin may have their own version depending on available ingredients.

kolo /ko.lo/ (n.)
Nut. The edible seed of woodland trees and shrubs, eaten raw, roasted, or ground into paste or milk.

kol'muh /kol.muː/ (n.)
Nut milk. A creamy milk produced by soaking and grinding kolo with water. Used in cooking and as a traditional addition to a bitter drink.

From: kolo ("nut") + muunah ("milk"), historically contracted.

muunah /muː.nah/ (n.)
Milk. Animal milk used fresh, fermented, or as the base for various foods and beverages.

sula /su.la/ (adj.)
Sweet. Having a pleasant sugary taste.

sulkor /sul.kor/ (n.)
Sweet bark. The fragrant inner bark of certain woodland trees, shaved or dried as a natural sweetener and spice, especially in bitter drinks.

briima /briː.ma/ (n.)
Berry. A small fleshy fruit gathered from shrubs and low woodland plants. Fresh berries are eaten seasonally, while dried briima are commonly added to stews, trail rations, and bitter drinks for sweetness and aroma.

toko /to.ko/ (n.)
Bark. The outer covering of a tree. Certain species provide edible, medicinal, or aromatic bark used in cooking and brewing.

During the initial sketching of the shape, I am favoring this shape compared to a simple cylinder because this is an earthen ware and not from a block of wood. The maker can work on a pliable material and shape it however he wants.

Took a lot of tweaking to arrive at this shape. The material is Clay so I picked a color similar to a terracotta. Maybe it is unglazed I don't know if I want to go deep in that kind of details maybe soon

Working with no reference may take your drawing to different directions like this one. It was still good in the end when I finally added the spiced hot drink, the steam going up and some highlights made it come alive
