JUST DRAW — Day 11
Prompt: Upside Down
For Day 11 of the Just Draw challenge, the prompt is Upside-down, and I know that this is very timely and my mind immediately went to that familiar poisoned place the Upside Down from Stranger Things. IYKYK. I want to depict that warped mirror of Hawkins where everything looks like a jungle of vines and rot.
I like that world drenched in red, foggy, tumultous like there is a hurricane forming and suffocating. The ground i marshy the sky is blood red, and nothing here feels safe or make sense. Shapes blur into each other, branches/vines creep everywhere, and the space feels alive like it watches you back.
I placed three demogorgons scattered across the scene. Lurking. Waiting for the Hawkins kids. And looming over everything is the Mind Flayer, less visible but more terrifying, like a shadow that controls this upside down world. I wanted this drawing to capture: that quiet dread, that sense of being watched, and the feeling that this world doesn’t want you there.
This is my take on Upside-down a place where fear lives.
