Rift (2023)

I’m a sucker for a cave & this one didn’t disappoint

When I arrived in the dark I had no idea where I was going - only a rough idea of an area & that the tide should have been low enough to get in

I made it in between waves and waited until sunrise, searching deeper within the cave with my head torch (found a a car engine down the back of it!) I then turned my mind finding a composition that would work & ended up with this.

Funny fact - when I got back to my car I was parked within a cordoned off area of a surf competition (which had setup after I arrived at like 5am) & had to get them to move barriers in order for me to get out…fun times
