Being surrounded by ferns in a cold environment and not covered in leeches was a surreal experience
The forests of New Zealand are just so different to what I’m used to - I ended up sitting down among the ferns & spending a good chunk of time taking it all in
There’s something special about being in a place so ancient yet so full of new life
The composition for this one was pretty hard to find. Ferns are great leading lines but not when they’re pointing all over the place. I ended up finding these two trees which helped a lot
