Crispy Seed Crackers

Ingredients

🥄 1 cup flax seeds
💧 1 cup hot water
🧂 Flaky salt
🎃 1 cup pumpkin seeds
🌻 1 cup sunflower seeds
🥑 1-2 tablespoons Avocado Oil


Instructions

1- Preparation:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).

2- Mixing Flax Seeds:

  • In a metal mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flax seeds with 1 cup of hot water.
  • Stir with a green silicone spatula until the mixture adopts a gloopy, egg-white-like consistency.

3- Seasoning:

  • Season the flax mixture with flaky salt, then stir well.

4- Adding Seeds:

  • Add 1 cup of pumpkin seeds and 1 cup of sunflower seeds to the bowl.
  • Mix thoroughly until all the seeds are fully combined with the flaxseed binder.

5- Preparing the Baking Sheet:

  • Drizzle a small amount of La Tourangelle Avocado Oil onto a metal baking sheet and spread evenly.

6- Layering Parchment Paper:

  • Place a sheet of DecoBake Panel parchment paper over the oiled baking sheet.
  • Drizzle a little more avocado oil on top and brush it across the surface with a blue silicone basting brush.

7- Spreading Mixture:

  • Transfer the mixed seeds onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Use the back of the silicone spatula or a flat object to spread the mixture into a thin, even layer.

8- Finishing Touches:

  • Drizzle another light layer of avocado oil over the top of the spread mixture and brush lightly for extra crispness.
  • Sprinkle additional flaky salt over the top.

9- Baking:

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes until the cracker sheet is golden brown.

10- Cooling:
- Remove from the oven and carefully slide the parchment paper with the baked cracker onto a metal cooling rack.
- Allow the crackers to cool completely for maximum crispness, then break into desired portions.
