Chicken Flautas
Crispy on the outside and delightful on the inside, these Mexican Chicken Flautas are a delicious treat. Utilizing the T-fal Infrared Air Fryer's unique "Crispy Finish" function, you can achieve perfect flautas with minimal oil, making them lighter than traditional fried ones. Perfect as a main course or a substantial appetizer, they're sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
🌽 4 small tortillas corn or flour
🍗 1 cup shredded chicken cooked
🧀 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or Monterey Jack
🍅 2 tbsp salsa red or green
🌿 ½ tsp ground cumin
🧂 1 tsp salt
🫘 1 cup refried beans
🫗 Olive oil spray or cooking spray
⚫ 1 tsp black pepper
🍶 1 cup sour cream for topping
🥑 Guacamole for topping
🌿 Cilantro for garnish
🍋 Lime wedges for garnish
🧀 Crumbled white cheese Cotija or Queso Fresco for topping
Instructions
1- Prepare the Flauta Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, shredded cheese, salsa, cumin, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until all ingredients are well combined.
2- Assemble the Flautas:
- On each tortilla, spread a small amount of refried beans in the center.
- Add a layer of shredded cheese, followed by a portion of the chicken mixture.
- Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
- Roll each tortilla tightly around the filling, ensuring the seam is on the bottom to prevent unravelling.
3- Cook the Flautas:
- Preheat the T-fal Infrared Air Fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray the rolled flautas with olive oil or cooking spray.
- Place them in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Use the "Crispy Finish" function for an additional 2 minutes at 450°F to achieve that perfect crispy texture.
4- Serve:
- Once the flautas are golden and crispy, remove them from the air fryer.
- Serve immediately with sour cream, guacamole, and additional salsa.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and crumbled white cheese.
- Add lime wedges on the side for a fresh touch.

Cook Time: 10-12 minutes
Total Time: 25-32 minutes
