Hive Top Holders 1.3.0 Update: Small Changes, Much Better Experience

Since the release of Hive Top Holders v1.2, it has gradually become one of the tools I personally use the most.

Whenever I have some free time, I often open it just to check my HP ranking. Watching the numbers slowly climb gives me that strange feeling of grinding levels in a game 😳

The More I Used It, the More Issues I Noticed

As I started using it more frequently, I gradually noticed some small usability issues.

For example, I often browse in:

VESTS → Show as HP

But every time I refreshed the page, I had to:

• Click VESTS
• Turn on the Show as HP toggle again

After repeating this over and over, I realized I was doing the exact same actions way too often...

The same applies to people who mainly follow:

HBD Savings rankings

They also have to repeat the same series of steps every time.

These are tiny issues on their own, but once repeated frequently, they start affecting the overall experience.

Often, what hurts user experience isn't the big problems — it's the tiny actions repeated every single day.

Adding Route Support

So I started thinking:

Maybe adding route support would make more sense.

That way, refreshing the page would no longer reset everything back to the default view, and users could directly jump into their preferred section through URLs.

For example:

Now you can go there directly in one step.

HP Ranking Is Now the Default View

After AI helped me implement the routing feature, another thought came to mind:

Most people are probably more interested in the HP rankings anyway.

So I made two additional changes:

✅ Moved VESTS to the first asset category

✅ Enabled HP display by default

Now when you open the tool, the first thing you see is HP Rankings:

No extra clicks needed anymore.

URL Pagination Support

Later, while continuing to tweak things, another issue crossed my mind:

What if your ranking isn't on the first page?

So I also added pagination support to URLs.

For example:

Now you can jump directly to a specific page.

This should be especially useful for users whose rankings are a bit further down the list.

Hive Top Holders 1.3.0 mainly includes:

• Added route support
• Page refresh now preserves current state
• URLs can directly access specific sections
• HP rankings are now the default view
• Moved VESTS to the first position
• Added pagination support in URLs

These all seem like small changes, but together they noticeably improve the overall user experience.
