NOSTR: Where does it stand? [EN/DE]

Yesterday was bitcoin Austria meetup to explain NOSTR, it stands for "Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays". Although, technically it sounds quite well, am of the opinion it is lagging by a few years as compared to its competitors.

It has features such as ZAP which is basically 'UpVote' of HIVE, where you are able to reward a post from your lightning wallet.

Numerous apps have been build using NOSTR, however they are buggy, incomplete, or still far from done.

They do have ambitious goals such replacing twitter, telegram, GitHub, etc. Given the state today it may take a few years. Additionally, my first impression was that the interface is definitely not user friendly and they have to work on that if they want to bring non-technical people onboard.

Overall, if it is compared to HIVE, NOSTR has a long way to go!

Gestern war bitcoin Austria meetup, um NOSTR zu erklären, es steht für "Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays". Klingt zwar technisch ganz gut, hinkt aber meiner Meinung nach ein paar Jahre hinterher im Vergleich zur Konkurrenz.

Es verfügt über Funktionen wie ZAP, was im Grunde genommen das "UpVote" von HIVE ist, bei dem man einen Beitrag aus seiner Blitzgeldbörse belohnen kann.

Mit NOSTR wurden bereits zahlreiche Apps entwickelt, die jedoch fehlerhaft, unvollständig oder noch lange nicht fertig sind.

Sie haben ehrgeizige Ziele wie die Ersetzung von Twitter, Telegram, GitHub usw. Beim heutigen Stand kann das ein paar Jahre dauern. Außerdem war mein erster Eindruck, dass die Schnittstelle definitiv nicht benutzerfreundlich ist und sie müssen daran arbeiten, wenn sie nicht-technische Leute an Bord bringen wollen.

Insgesamt hat NOSTR im Vergleich zu HIVE noch einen weiten Weg vor sich!
