I know the title of this post says Prime Rib, but this method will work for just about any cut of beef.

I call it a method because it is, so simple and takes, so few ingredients it is hard to call it a recipe.

Ingredients

  • Beef
  • Beef Base
  • Montreal Steak Seasoning

First step

Select your cut of meat. I prefer Prime Rib myself or a nice chunk of Rib-Eye.

Second Step

Take a generous amount of beef base and coat the entire piece of meat. my preferred brand pictured below

Third Step

Add a layer of Montreal Steak Seasoning to your freshly coated piece of meat.

Fourth Step

Place meat in a roasting pan uncovered, in an oven set to 265 * F/129 * C. Cook meat for 6 hours or until desired internal temp is reached, I prefer medium rare which is roughly 135 * F - 140 * F. Rotate pan half way through cooking.

There you have it. Now all that is left is to slice and serve. Try it with a mixture of sourcream, horseradish and fresh garlic.

Next time your roasting a chunk of meat use this method. I promise you will not regret it. The burnt ends alone will blow you away.
