Smartcash & Smardcard

One of the Smartcash features that I'm waiting is the Smartcard.
For those who are not familiar with it, smartcard allows user to spend their smartcash without having a phone or Internet connection. Just scan the card at the merchant POS (point of sale) and key in the PIN number.

The impact of this is huge. Previously, to spend any crypto you would need at least a smartphone. However if we want to serve the unbanked and the poor, they are most likely does not owned a smartphone.

Imagine in a rural area where you want to help families who earn less than $5 per day. They would not own a smartphone which will exclude them from cryptocurrency. With smartcard, we can provide them with a loaded account and they can spend smartcash at any shop that accept it.

With community funding from smartcash I hope there will be more outreach to the unbanked and less fortunate.
