HPUD Day and Reading goal update

Another HPUD day, and this time I powered up all the 180 Hive I had in my wallet. I have been powering up for every HPUD Day for the last couple of months, and I really enjoy taking part and putting Hive back in.

July has been a struggle. I have finally managed to pay off all my small debts, which is great news; I can finally focus on saving and being money smart. It has left me a little short as I head into 10 days before my monthly pay arrives, but I should be okay. The weather has been brutally hot all month too, meaning very little time spent being productive on the computer and instead trying to keep cool. One thing I am excited to share is that my reading goal is back on track after a great month of reading.

I read 4 books this month, my highest in a little while, and I'm glad because I've now got myself back on track to hit my goal for the year, which is amazing for me, as this goal has been one of my priorities. I read a nice variety, with my standouts being The Shawshank Redemption and Killing Maradona. Furthermore, I read a wide range of genres because I like keeping my TBR varied, so I'm not stuck in one genre, and each page feels fresh.

My currently reading list is also quite large, featuring 8 books with some around 50% done and others much less. I also have 15 in my want-to-read list, including the rest of The Hunger Games novels and A couple of Stephen King books. It is safe to say I am in no shortage of books.

Looking ahead to hit my reading goal, I just need to do 3 books a month, and I would reach that goal slightly early. It is still peak summer here in the UK, but with the evenings beginning to get darker a little earlier each evening and maybe with the heatwaves not happening as much, my reading time will increase, and maybe I could hit a record 5 books in a month.
