Taking a Step Back..

Good Morning hive fam! :)

Here's what I did last month and earlier this month.. First off, I went on a bit of a spending spree and definitely went overboard with the Xmas present shopping. Now I need to chill and STOP spending money. I'm supposed to be saving money.. not spending more and more. Second thing, I am NOT 25 y/o no more and can't treat my body like I'm not 51 now. :P

The second realization kinda ties in to the first. At this time in my life, I need to just relax, focus on the few things that are really important to me and reign back hard on the spending!

It's good to stop, take a breather, and also take a step back to look at the whole situation. I decided to return a bunch of things I bought last month. I also injured myself pretty good in my big return to Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. (but at least I performed good and gave that young, 230 lb. kid a good workout!) Nothing major.. just skinned my foot and knees some. They are all dried up and healing, but it sure hurt a long the way..

I also could barely stand right after training. My left knee was in bad shape. Nothing like how it felt in the old days when I was in college. I think I would rather walk ok than limp around trying to keep up with the younglins. :P

I think I will instead focus on just getting to the gym. I also plan on getting an adjustable bench and already have a bunch of 'weights'. (empty water bottles) besides.. the gym cost me $10 a pop with a punchcard and the BJJ was $90 for just once a week classes. add in the returns I am doing.. I should pay off my little spree in no time!
