Baptism is the washing away of sin. It is a regeneration of our souls.
There should be a change in a life if truly a true baptism takes place.

Ezra 7:23
Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

If baptism will take place, it must be done in a way God really recommend. It must be done in the house of God.

1 Timothy 3:15
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Baptism should be done in the law of Christ.

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The church is the house of God and the house of God will remain for ever.

Ephesians 3:10
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Irrespective of who or where we come from, baptism in the church bring us into one spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

The hope of our calling is in church.

We should be careful of all the teaching that goes around in the world that we may not fall into the hands of deceivers.

Matthew 24:4-5
:4. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
:5. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Christ is the head of of church of God.

Hebrews 3:1
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

We are the temple of God and the spirit of God dwells in us.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17
:16. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
:17. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
