The Weapons Trainers Create A Formidable Army
Weapons Training is a relatively new ability that I think warrants itself in every player's deck. If you don't have any of the stronger Weapons Trainers, I think you're missing out. And by 'stronger', I mean with at least 2 attack. Because this gives your adjacent no attack units an additional 2 attack.
Here's one battle where it all worked out well. Aves Sturgis is a Legendary Weapons Trainer and his ability to confer 2 magic attack to the adjacent Evelyn Auvera and Nimbledook Explorer is one of my favorite combinations. Because it allows me to take advantage of Evelyn's strong health and shield as well as Nimbledook's Protect ability while at the same time giving 4 additional magic attack per round. That's pretty substantial in the Bronze league.
As you can see by the third round, my opponent was well on the back foot. Could I have done as well without the Weapons Training? I don't think so. The 4 additional damage is pretty significant and just having two cards in the lineup that don't do any damage is quite limiting.
There are many cards that can do Weapons Training and these are the ones you can pick up on the market. 'Rage' sure does look like a killer. Imagine doing 12 magic damage to your opponent although at 16 mana, it sure does cost a lot.
So, i'm curious. Do you use Weapons Trainers as part of your strategy?
