Interesting Things Happen When You Combine Two Trainers

If you've read some of my previous posts, you can probably tell that Weapons Training is one of my favorite abilities. But what really makes it special is combining two of them in 1 line-up.

Aves Sturgis and Zyriel

Enter the combination of Zyriel and Aves Sturgis, which both have the Weapons Training ability. Zyriel is a range attack weapons trainer while Aves is a magic attack weapons trainer.

In the field

So how does the strategy look like in the field? Here's a battle where I used it to good effect.

Thanks to the combination of Zyriel and Aves, I was able to give Evelyn 2 magic attack and 4 range attack. That's quite significant especially when there's explosive damage done and you get two attacks. The only oversight was putting in the Clockwork Aide there because it is so vulnerable to magic attacks.

It's round 1 and things aren't looking so good with my team losing two units. But this is where the double training effect starts to work its magic.

By round 2, it has completely turned around. It's hard hard to compete against 6 damage with two different types of attack, especially if it is an explosive battle. Oh, and the healing helped as well. You can catch a replay of the entire battle here: https://next.splinterlands.com/battle/sl_295a618a464b5d5fa84f07f4227d4c9c?ref=charcoalbuffet

So what do you think? Do you use double the Weapons Training in your battles and how has it been?
