MCGI Topic Review // Do We Need Weapons For Self-protection?

To live with thoughtful and challenging methods, especially where we justify violence too quickly. This shows a balance. Biblical justice is for the duty and compassion.
You may listen like that. We have the role of security forces which will protect life.

What stands out the most is the use of scripture, but particularly in the cities where refugees were making reference in the book of Numbers, God clearly distinguishes between intentional murder and intentional killing. This shows that self-defense, even when it's radically might result in death, shouldn't be treated in a way God has given us in seeing when there's no intent.

We must be accountable, we must hold on to judgment, and we must protest things no matter what happens. Even more striking is
with the early emphasis on being restrained and being merciful. God does not fight killing. Even for police and armed forces, we have been urged to be disciplined. We are being watched and we are being disciplined.

That is in goes against the culture of shoot first. As many people know my life, it's always self-defense. Brother Eli message is clear. We have the right to defend ourselves, but it does not remove the responsibility of having compassion on others.

We must gain strength in this teaching. We should not be brutal, but we should not have to control ourselves. Justice guided by God must always be tempered with compassion.
